Anna played at a tennis clinic at the TBarM Tennis and Racquet Club in Dallas before she played at the Pro-Celebrity Classic at Frisco on November 18th, 2006.
There, she also met Richie Whitt on the court who published his experiences with Anna at the Dallas Observer today.
Quote Anna: "I miss the adrenaline of a third-set tiebreaker, but some things I don't miss at all. I'm still passionate, just about a lot of other things."
On four of T Bar M's indoor courts, Richie Whitt and others played 20-minute hitting sessions with Anna, Novotna, Jensen and Williams. Read more

Anna wrote for Denzel Washington's book
Anna wrote something for Denzel Washington's new book, "A Hand To Guide Me", entitled "Patience and Perseverance"! This book is dedicated to the idea that everyone who accomplishes anything has had an important mentor along the way.

In Anna's case, it was definitely her 1st coach back in Russia at Spartak Tennis Club, Larissa Preobraschenskaja ("wonderful human being")! Anna today about the time back then: "I couldn't have had a better coach. I couldn't have been in a better environment."
Anna still comes back to Moscow four times a year to visit her grandparents and she also visits Larissa at Spartak Tennis Club: "We don't talk much about Tennis anymore. We just talk." Read more

Enrique had a concert in Uruguay recently and in an interview he gave there he also talked about his relationship with Anna: Both are now together for 5, he said that there are good and bad times and it's quite hard sometimes to work it out and keep it together. Read more

Anna touring with Enrique again?
Will Anna be on tour with Enrique again??
1) No upcoming event(s) known so far where Anna will make an appearance, neither tennis-related nor anything else and
2) Enrique is on tour again starting on November 30th (see Tour Dates) presenting his new songs.

So I guess that Anna will be with him when he's touring throughout North America. I guess we'll see pictures like back in 2004 (March-May) quite soon.

Anna played @ Frisco / lovely Hingis... / exercise DVD
Anna played at the Frisco Pro-Celebrity Classic at Dallas (Texas, USA) on November 18th! She wore a new white outfit. All proceeds from the event benefit the Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Center in Dallas.
Obviously Anna teamed up with Dallas Fire Fighter Lane Graves and both played a tie-breaker against Dallas Police Officer P.J. Allen and Luke Jensen to kick off the event on Saturday Night. Read more | see pictures

lovely Hingis...: Martina Hingis was recently interviewd at the Year-Ending Championships in Madrid (Spain) and she also spoke about Anna in a very very friendly way: "With Anna, those were some of the best years I spent on tour. PERSONAL COMMENT: I can only say the same thing over and over again: The "Spice Girls"-era of Anna and Martina from 99 to 02 was a unique tennis period and luckily I saw them playing at Filderstadt back in October 2001.

exercise DVD: In her latest Journal entry, "Getting Animated" (November 17th, 2006), Anna revealed that she was in Atlanta (Georgia, USA) where she worked with Cartoon Network and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America! She shot an exercise DVD for their "Getting Animated"-program - the goal is to get kids to be more active.

PERSONAL COMMENT: The Journal entry was published really late this time. But it's good to finally hear some news again. I would have loved to read what she's going to do after the Frisco-exhibition because right now I DON'T KNOW OF ANY UPCOMING EVENT and that's sad and new :-(((

Anna didn't play 2 full mixed doubles sets at the Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic (Nov 5th) - she replaced Chris Evert to finish her mixed doubles match with her doubles partner former President George H.W. Bush. Both Anan and Bush defeated Davenport/Lovitz 6-2 in the one-set match.

PERSONAL COMMENT: Anna hasn't confirmed to play any other Tennis charity event so far. That's basically new and a sad thing - what am I going to display at the flash-movie "upcoming events"??? After the charity at Frisco I don't have anything to announce...! I really hope that new event-commitments will come out soon.

Anna removed...
Well, since a few days, Anna is removed from the WTA Tour Player Roster. After all, that's no big surprise because her last WTA Tour match took place on April 9th, 2003 - almost 43 months ago!!!! But it's still a bit frustrating for an Anna-fan.

PERSONAL COMMENT: Well, taking a look at her slim figure, the skinny legs (gym-pictures, Delray beach-exhibition on Nov 5th) I also have to admit that the old times with "WTA-Anna" seem like millions of years ago :-(( Anna was the most beautiful girl in the world back then but I somehow realized that she likes her new slim figure and obviously she won't change in the near future! But after all I am still an Anna-fan.

Anna took part in Chris Evert's Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic event on November 5th. She competed in 2 Mixed Doubles matches:

During her match with former US President Bush Anna accidentally hit 82-year-old Bush with a serve. She was embarassed afterwards: "Definitely, I was nervous. It's not very often that I'm playing with President Bush. I'm so sorry."

Anna played a match in Istanbul?
Obviously Anna played a tennis match during her 2-day-trip to Istanbul, Turkey. According to "romania" (member of Official Messageboard) she teamed up with Büyükakçay from Turkey and both faced P.Özgen/İ.Şenoğlu (TUR/TUR)! No further details known so far.
Personally, I haven't heard of any of these players before and none of them has a Bio at the WTA Tour website.

Anna's Istanbul-visit over
Anna's quick visit to Istanbul is already over. She arrived in Istanbul via Frankfurt am Main (Germany) by Lufthansa Airlines on November 1st (1 pm) and said that she already visited Turkey in the early 90s. Quote: "I am just a little bit excited to be here again." She reportedly wanted to visit the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar during her 2-day-visit (no picture of that so far).
On November 2nd, Anna presented the 07 KIA models at the International Auto Show wearing a great white dress.

PERSONAL COMMENT: Anna looks awesome once again. Very lovely. But a fact which is really amazing: Anna flew from Miami to Frankfurt am Main and from there she flew to Istanbul where she arrived at 1 pm on Nov 1st! I had to work at the Frankfurt Airport from Oct 31st to Nov 1st so if I had luck, I would have been able to see her possibly!!!!!!!
