PERSONAL COMMENT: IF this article and especially Anna's quote turns out to be true then this is more than sad - it's a desaster! I was hoping to see her in Filderstadt this year - at least a little bit! This hope is gone :-( If she returns in February 2005 it would mean that she hasn't played a WTA match for 22 months!!!!!!!!!!! The question is: IS THIS NECESSARY??? The season is still 7 months long and in the latest comeback announcements it was reported that she'll return in march and lately end of summer THIS year! I think that Anna has get used to her "easy going"-life right now! She can travel the world without tournament pressure. She can smoke, be with her boyfriend Enrique and the money comes in by occassionally doing Omega Presentations etc.! To be honest: I don't think that Anna will come back anymore!!!!

PERSONAL COMMENT: Well, if that turns out to be true then Anna wouldn't have played a match on the WTA Tour for more than 1 1/2 years!!!! I hardly believe that she would really return after such a long time far far away from Pro Tennis! Hey Anna, an OFFICIAL STATEMENT, maybe on your never actual official website, would be highly appreciated! Why don't you tell your fans what your intentions are???

Anna in Dubai most likely: Anna is in Dubai right now (Source: Dubai newspaper "khaleej Times")! What is she doing there? Obviously Anna is special guests of some sheiks on horse races and she handed out prizes to winners of these races today - if the source is reliable.

PERSONAL COMMENT: Well, why did Anna stay SO LONG with Enrique Down Under??? The same concert, the same songs, almost every day! Anna could have worked for her comeback but she seemed to have had other priorities!

SHE STILL SMOKES: It was at the concert in Adelaide on March 24 - Anna was standing beside the stage in the backstage area and...she was smoking a cigarette again! PERSONAL COMMENT: Well, last year a picture of Anna holding a cigarette in her hand appeared...! She seems to have started smoking, I don't know exactly because I simply don't know her personally! Who knows - I cannot "blame" her because I also smoke! BUT: IF she intends to play Tennis at Pro level again...well, cigarettes don't increase your fitness level for sure!!!

Hospital visit: Anna and Enrique visited Melbourne's Royal Children Hospital on Friday, March 19th. They visited many patients, Anna signed autographs. Priscilla Mallis (10 years of age, suffering from cystic fibrosis) said: "Anna was really nice to me too, but I was really shy!" PERSONAL COMMENT: Another "Engagement ring", she visits his concerts etc etc! Well, if I would have more time to think about all this right now I would surely become more frustrated as I am now. All I can say is that I just hope that Anna will refocus on tennis as soon as possible. I wouldn't find it good if she would be at Istanbul with Enrique (co-host of European song contest) or if she would travel with him over the next weeks/months!

Anna @ Sydney-concert: Thanx very very much to "aLiNiX" who was at Enrique's first Sydney-concert. Anna was there, too! She watched the concert from the middle of the ground section (light/sound people's location), many many Enrique-fans screamed her name and reportedly she was in a very good mood, smiling all over! After the show she made video shoots from Enrique signing autographs!!!! Well, personally I really would have loved to see THIS!

Anna in Australia with Enrique: Remember? At the end of January 2004, Enrique told The Courier Mail when asked if Anna will join him on his Australian concert tour in march: "I think she'll probably be training"! Well, plans changes!
At a news conference Down Under he admitted: "She loves Australia and I have never been, so she was really keen to join me"! So, Anna is Down under with him - he plays a few concerts, five as far as I know!

PERSONAL COMMENT: Well, Anna was in Singapore for Omega while Enrique was at the ECHO Awards in Berlin (Germany) 1 day later on March 6th! Afterwards the two met at Brisbane, Australia as it seems. Regarding the announced comeback plans, is THIS the right kind of preparation to start a comeback to the WTA Tour??? Well, in the end has to know what she wants and what's good for her! But one thing is for sure: The latest gossip trash stories about the 1,000,000 split up of Anna & Enrique were...what a surprise...once again untrue!!!!

Anna has been offered part in Bond movie: In recent reports (source of all is the News of the World-report) quotes of Anna were published which seem to prove that she'd already been offered at least a role in a James Bond-movie. Quotes: "I was offered a part in a Bond film but had to turn it down because of my sporting commitments. I'd still love to be a Bond girl, though. Enrique denies on-off relationship: More news about Anna & Enrique - in today's MIRROR Enrique was asked about the "on-off relationship"-speculations and he answered: "Who says it's on and off? I've never said that. Why do people think they know about these things?"

Additional info: Enrique is in Berlin right now (performance at Echo Awards tonight) and today he was interviewed by RTL (german TV station) - asked about Anna he said that he doesn't want to speak about his private life at all! Well, no REAL news once again!

At tennis.com someone asked if Anna is going to compete this year and this was editor Stephen Tignor's answer: "she'll announce in March what her future tennis plans are. PERSONAL COMMENT: Well, knowing what she said in Singapore today I am NOW quite confident that she will talk about her comeback plans...if this "official Announcement" will take place in March or whenever at all!!!

Anna coming to Asia (Omega)???: Well, this article says that Anna is arriving at Singapore THIS FRIDAY (March 5) in her function as an ambassador for Omega. Reason: Launch of the first jewellery collection, Bijoux, at the Four Seasons Hotel. Furthermore, the article states that Anna will fly back to Miami on Saturday.
Well, the way I understood that article, an EMAIL-INTERVIEW took place recently! Asked what she would chose (acting, more award hosting activities, tennis) she wrote: "I'd stick to tennis" - great to hear!
