EI: No eating disorder
Enrique has done
a phone interview with "The Star" on Monday, July 30th, 2007. He denied that
Anna has an eating disorder. Quote: "She's fine. I think because she stopped
playing tennis, obviously her muscles are not as big as what they used to be,
so immediately I think a lot of people maybe have said that she's lost a lot
of weight."
"But no, she's cool, she's healthy, she's good. She eats like crazy."

PERSONAL COMMENT: Well, he knows better than we do. That's for sure. The "eating disorder"-problem was clearly visible throughout most of 2006 (just think about the Valencia-pics from April 27th...) but fortunately, Anna gained some weight.

Anna to open fashion show?
As we all
know, Anna will be in Toronto to play in an exhibition on August 13th. 9
fashion shows will take place in that area as well and, according to
tournament director Karl Hale, they're "working on Anna Kournikova opening
the fashion shows on Monday [Aug 13th]."

Enrique-SI-Interview - "most amazing person..."
Enrique was also interviewed by Sports Illustrated last week and, what a
surprise, he was mainly asked questions about Anna! Once again. He said that
Anna showed him her home back in Moscow where she grew - quote: "To me, she's
the most amazing person I have ever met."
Furthermore, he was also asked if he could imagine that Anna starts a Pro
comeback or not - he didn't answer that one...!

Enrique-Interview - "...father of her children"
Enrique has been interviewed by mexican QUIEN-Mag (June 15th) and, of course,
he was asked about his relationship with Anna.
He states that Anna even buys his CD's and the "she wants me to be the
father of her children but I don't know if this will happen." About
children in general: "I love children as long as they're not mine."

In her latest Journal
entry, "WTT Update", Anna tells us about her WTT experiences this year and I
think you kind of feel that she was really missing especially Elena
Likhovtseva. She was very happy to be able to play with Mark Knowles ("Mark
and I have played doubles a million times together, so it's always really fun
and automatic when we play").
Furthermore, she states that she'll "be in Miami for a little bit" - I
suppose until her next charity event in Toronto on August 13th.

who are interested, you can see a
video of Anna and Enrique (leaving Big Pink-restaurant
in Miami South Beach on January 30th, 2007) on their way to their cars.
Enrique is asked in spanish nonstop and Anna acts very lovely, just saying
"bye" and "be careful" as she wants to get out of the parking lot.

about her visible WEIGHT LOSS: "I was always kind of a small girl, anyway."
She also confirmed that she met Paris Hilton in the past (is THAT really

SacCaps beat Wranglers, HQ

Anna already played her final WTT event for this year -
the Sacramento Capitals met the Houston Wranglers (in Houston) and Anna was
defeated in Women's Doubles (with her new partner) but she could win in Mixed
Doubles with Mark Knowles as her partner - both know each other since many
many years. In the end, the Sacramento Capitals defeated the Houston
Wranglers 20-18 ("It was a true team effort", Sac Caps coach Wayne Bryan).

sad start at 1st WTT event / BTW-OFFICIAL RETIREMENT / 2nd WTT event
Well, unfortunately Anna started into the 07 WTT season
the same way like last year - she lost both her matches in Mixed Doubles and
Women's Doubles. In the end, the Sacramento Capitals were defeated by the
Springfield Lasers 22-15.

BTW-OFFICIAL RETIREMENT: Well, this is really a "by-the-way"-Official
Retirement - Anna admitted at the news conference in Sacramento (July 5th)
that she got the itch to return to the Pro Tour but...
"I know my body would'n stand it physically. It would be fun, but I have to be realistic."
PERSONAL COMMENT: I think NOBODY really still thought that she might come back to the Tour again. This is, most likely, the clearest OFFICIAL retirement statement that we'll ever going to hear from Anna...

Anna's Spartak coach / WTT MP4/PSP Special
As we all know,
Anna started her career back in Moscow at the famous Spartak Club. Her former
coach, Victor Roubanov, about Anna: She joined the club when she was 6 1/2
years old and when he asked her what she can do, she immediately pumped 50
press-ups on her knuckles. Plus: "Sometimes she would play for eight hours
without stopping."

three matches featuring Anna as the marquee player for the Sacramento
Capitals on their cable network (Sacramento on July 5th and Newport Beach on
